The hummingbirds are the jewel of bird watching in Colombia and this tour will take you to the most representative places of hummingbird sightings.
The dazzling colors of these small birds will make the traveller vibrate with every picture taken.
This is an opportunity to photograph at least 70 species of hummingbirds and watch more than 300 species of birds.
Day 1: Arrival to Bogotá. Night in Zipacon coffee farm.
Day 2: Today we will visit: “Finca colibri Gorriazul” (19 species) and “Parque Verde y Agua” (23 Species). Night at “Chicaque” Private Reserve.
Day 3: Early in th morning birdwhatching in “Chicaque” private reserve (36 reported
species). Transfer to the hummingbird observatory (18 reported species). Night in the observatory.
Day 4: Birdwatching in the Chingaza National Park (21 species reported). Transfer to the “Enchanted Garden” (23 reported species). Transfer to Hacienda el Triunfo near Honda.
Day 5: Early in the morning photography session at Hacienda el Triunfo (9 species reported). Transfer to the hot springs “Termalesdel Ruiz” (25 species reported). Hotel in the hot springs.
Day 6: Drive to “Rio Blanco” nature reserve (10 recurrent species of 36 reported). Night in the reserve.
Day 7: Birding in Rio Blanco. Transfer to Tinamu Birding reserve. NIght in the reserve.
Day 8: Biding in Tinamu. Transfer to Montezuma rainforest ecolodge (35 species reported). Night in the ecolodge.
Day 9: Full day birding activities in Montezuma.
Day 10: Transfer to Pereira. Flight back home
